If I was outraged that it was already November last month, I nearly had a brain hemorrhage today. I am soooo not ready to think about Christmas yet.

It was a busy month. Our livingroom/diningroom floor got finished and we have 'moved' into the room, though all the trims are still not done. It's pretty bare - we have a couch and a chair now (new! reclining! leather! me love!) and on the other end of the room the diningroom table and the china cabinet. I'll take pics soon, but it's rather underwhelming.

The kids are doing great! Drew is getting so big so fast my head is starting to spin. His sentences often start 'Now that I'm four...'. Zane is busting out with words and whole ideas can often be understood with just a word or two. "Ball! Drew!" means he wants to watch Drew do some computer bowling, which fascinates him. "Appo" is one of my favourites, because he loves apples so much and 'appo' is just too cute.

I got my hair cut last week to rampant praise - apparently I should have been wearing a bag on my head all this time. I got bangs again, which I wasn't sure about since bangs are kind of a pain and take years off of my already baby-face, but I think they look great. The stylist 'profiled' me, which none have ever done before, and the result is a fantastic cut and a new loyalty.

As I knit, Drew painted. He would keep me abreast of his artwork by calling out "I'm mixing red and purple now, Mama!" or "Now I'm using black!".

"How do you know when you're done your painting?" I asked.

"I run out of paint!" he said.

Let's seee... it's been a while since I did this...

Drew made up this costume himself. He wanted to be a monster and picked out the fun fur with Grandma. Then he wanted 'eyes all over', which Carole got in googly form. It's an awesome costume. Zane was a terrific lion, and rawred on command. He kind of whispers it: rraahh. Getting them to stand still next to each other for a picture was next to impossible.

Oh, the mischief!

November already! The day after Halloween and the commercials start featuring jingle bells and Santa Claus. Grumble grumble.

Half the floor down today! Very exciting!
